More renderings as I see this thread has not been updated for quite a while

Also the project is now named YSL.

According to Whippersnapper from SSP (Who often has access to inside information of the industry) says that the developer dropped the sky bridge but the project might be headed for a supertall.

There have been a lot of beautiful proposals that have been chopped down, refused by the DRP, and/or stripped of all architectural interest in the last few weeks (The One, Innovation Centre, St. Lawrence Market North, 1 Scollard) so I view that announcement with some trepidation. This older rendering looked very promising. I welcome the added height as long as the new proposal isn't another generic design that bores us to death.

According some sources on Urban Toronto and SSP, the site has been sold to Crestford Development. The project will undergo a redesign and from preliminary sources, it is no longer a 2 tower project. This means there is no bridge. On the positive side there is a rumour circulating that it may end up being a super tall.

Based on some preliminary rumours, the developer may aim for a super tall. However, the developer will face challenges trying to get a supertall approved. The area can be potentially become extremely dense.

There is Aura at nearly 900 feet.

-Delta Chelsea redevelopment (3 towers at 86, 75, and 50 storeys)
The tallest one being around the same height as Aura.

-8 Elm Street
80 stories at approximately 850 feet (Once again close to Aura's height)

A concern that city council could raise could be related density around Yonge (Dundas to College stretch). More to come to on this development in the next few coming months.

Holy fudge. That makes 6 super talls proposed for Toronto. Btw, you forgot to write 'TORONTO' in the thread title.

You have to ask one of the mods in this section to do it.

This is a nice looking design. Toronto is long overdue for a supertall. It is arguably one of the 5 best skylines in North America.

Absolutely stunning and I love the location; it'll help to beef up the middle part of Yonge and balance out Aura.
