Neighboring Buildings with great synergy

This thread is an ode to 2 or 3 buildings neighboring eachother and have great synergy.

Some examples

1 & 2 Liberty Plaza with Comcast Center Philadelphia

1 & 4 wtc NY (imagine 2 & 3 included )

Interesting idea for a thread. Those Philadelphia towers do work well in tandem!

I think there are two sets in Minneapolis:
The Capella Tower and the 5th Street Towers have always provided an interesting synergistic quality. (Both are on the left of the photo, 5th street towers are the staggered curved buildings with green lighting in front of the Capella tower (taller and white lit crown).

The other pair is the Wells Fargo tower and the Dain tower (RBC Plaza). The Wells Fargo is the tall Golden lit building in the center and the Dain tower is the narrow glass tower just to the right (and lower) with the two top corners lit.

This picture shows a better angle of why they work well:

and then again, both sets in this photo. The 5th Street towers and Capella on the left side and the Dain and Wells Fargo in the very center:

Sorry for the low quality, these were taken by me years ago with a 3.1 megapixil camera. haha.

For me it's very satisfying when three or more buildings from different eras juxtapose with each other.

In Milan, 'CityLife' (that includes Il Dritto, Lo Storto, Il Curvo) has been designed in synergy between three archistar Daniel Libeskind, Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki.
The whole site (90.44 acres - 36.6 hectares) is still U/C.

One Prudential Plaza, Two Prudential Plaza, Aon Center, Aqua, Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower, 340 on the Park:
Millennium Park by Mr Yankee, on Flickr

These skyscrapers in Chicago look great together. I think the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower and 340 on the Park (the two blue towers on the right) go together exceptionally well, as well as the two Prudential Plazas (the short cream-colored building and the tall building behind it).

I love "The Two Towers" in Hong Kong...

Source

They don't directly neighbour each other, but work together perfectly.

Sears Tower, Chicago Board of Trade Building, 311 S. Wacker Dr., AT&T Corporate Center, Chicago:

Source: The Flying Kiwi

The Chicago Board of Trade Building stands short in front of the tall Sears Tower. 311 S. Wacker Dr. and AT&T Corporate Center flank the Sears Tower on either side and are shorter, giving them the appearance of bodyguards.

PT1 and PT2 accompanied by the smaller guards of PT3 (270m) on the left and Maxis Tower (220m) on the right. Personally, i think the twins is the combination of the two, design wise..

Fourseasons will be hired soon as the lead guard of twins once t/o at 340m tall

CNA Center, Chase Tower, Mid-Continental Plaza, Chicago:

On the left, you will see a stout red skyscraper, a slimmer white skyscraper, and an extremely stout gray skyscraper. They are all pretty wide, so I think they go together perfectly.

CTF and IFC in Guanzhou have to be here as well:

Probably the best designed business district in China. IMO.

Seeing the thread title this is the first combination that came to mind:
Bank of China Tower and Cheung Kong Centre in Hong Kong

Garden Road by Eugene Lim, on Flickr

Bank of China Tower is a uniquely shaped building. It's very angular and the cladding carry the theme of its shape. Cheung Kong Centre is boxy and boxy buildings are a dime a dozen, but it has smooth edges that offset well the sharpness of Bank of China Tower.
