Actually, I think that is a common misconception about Paris. There are new buildings in the core of Paris too (Montparnasse
Tower, Pompidou Center, Arab World Institute, Towers of the 13th arrondissement, etc.).

Look at these wonderful panoramic views from the same author. You can see the blend of old monuments (in the foreground)
and modern buildings (in the background).

These pictures, from other authors, show modern buildings among the central core of Paris.

oh, I realized that (though no offence). It's just a great idea. The photographer who came up with this deserves an award.

You can see where he fades the two white balances together, otherwise it's perfect.

London.... not the best skyline, but I like the variety amongst other things:

3. London
4. Rotterdam (not about the heights, but about the quantity and quality)
5. Moscow/Warsaw

1. Frankfurt
2. La Defense
3. London

Big mention to Rotterdam, Moscow and Warsaw though. All of which have good and fast growing skylines.

Has anybody mentioned Benidorm already?

...the whole town is highrises though there are very few that could be considered skyscrapers. Its tallest building is 210m.

Does it belong alongside the "ALPHA"s of Europe? (skylines...architecture aside)

Benidorm has a nice skyline for a beach city with the likeness of Honolulu or Vina Del Mar

Nice pics Keros. I think Benidorm is better enjoyed from a distance (or on the beach ) rather than up-close. (jaja)

top 5 now:
1)frankfurt
2)paris
3)london
4)istanbul
5)benidorm

top 5 in 10 years:
1)moscow
2)london
3)frankfurt
4)istanbul
5)madrid

Oh yeah, and my 1st pic earlier was from www.mde.es.

If those Benidorm scrapers would be of better quality, Benidorm would win this by far.

It's not just the quality of the skyline but also the collection of skyscrapers. Benidorm's skyline is mostly residential condos. It would more striking if it had a Q-1 scraper in it.
