Please do not comapre bad to worst. both are bulshit. they luanched these towers in June 2005, its almost 3 years. not only they havent build these project they havnt started their project in Business Bay and international city. they are playing around with people until they cancel their unit and sell it again at market price.

That means rubery at daylight.

I have been informed that Al Attar is setting up escrow accounts. Therefore, if you are due for the next installment payment, contact them and ask for the new account number where you will have to transfer the money to.

Of course, it will take at least 6 weeks to set up the escrow accounts.....

Great Imre, thanks for the update. Have you seen any workers on these plots? Are there any activities during the week ?

Would it be realistic to assume that it takes at least another 3 years to completion ?

Didn't they start already? You can see the hole in the ground
Well, Al Attar still keeps Q3 2009 for completion. However, taking into account the situation in Dubai, IMO it will take at least 3 years from now to move in

At least these will be one of the last towers to be completed in the area, which means that you will be able to enjoy living in JLT straight away without being surrounded by further construction work..... does this statement seems cynical..... oppps

Could it be that they don't move really with plot K1 + K3 to wait for K2 to catch up?

Construction experts, would such an approach make sense?

Yes, that might be the reason, they awarded all 3 plots to the same contractor, but its not necessary to start all 3 project at the same time.

But if you are looking for a quick turn around ..... yes, that's the wrong project.

At least Al Attar is a developer who is re-scheduling the payment plan and one is not forced to pay 90% for a hole in the ground (see WIND).....
Please dont beleive all you reads on these forums, I certainly have not paid anywhere near 90% to wind. The hole in the ground at wind is now at floor 3.

All these doom and gloom posts are so simular to the years of bull shi-t people posted on the Wind forum.
Your development will be built but will be completed very late like several other towers within JLT.
I personally estimate 2011 before the final towers are completed within JLT and with the worldwide credit crunch this may be good timing for the best returns and maybe the £££ will get strong again by this time?

Dont do what people did in Wind and have years of slagging off this development, it will come good eventually, the law is changing quickly to protect investors in Dubai, they need foreign money to continue building their economy so they wont let developers scam you in such high profile developments.

If you look at the Wind forum the doom and gloom adicts that posted negative daily postings they have dissappeared for a couple of months since progress has been made. Easy to find fault but hard to report progress.

How many of the 78 Towers in JLT will be completed in December 2008?
Going to be a large number in the same situation.....

STAY FOCUSSED

Well, I do agree with you, the towers will most probably not be finished before 2011. People just need to accept that the time ticks differently in Dubai and everything takes much longer than promised......
However, comparing the price we paid with current off-plan projects, I have a big smile on my face. Availability will be around the same time but I just paid 50% compared to current launch prices
