Having arrived into Paris last year on AF through terminal 2E then having left through terminal 1 on LX, all I can say is that the difference between the quality of these two terminals is ridiculous! Even the quality of the stores and food options is vastly different. Let me just say terminal 1's insipid coffee and rock hard ham and cheese roll did not come close to the baguette and cafe au lait of Terminal 2E! At the time I kept thinking that it must be a ploy by AF to make the experience of catching other European (non-sky team aligned) airlines bad!

Yes that's quite true. I think the main reason is that former alumni of the ENA, the graduate school that trains high-ranking officials, are often going back and forth between ministers' private offices and headquarters of big companies (as Air France's ceo) even though they are firstly civil servants.

Here's the thread you're looking for. You can discuss there not just CDG, but also ORY and LBG.

Well speaking from experience changing planes at CDG isn't any better if you are flying entirely on Air France. I actually had to leave the terminal/secure area, take a shuttle bus, and re-enter security just to change flights.

Any chance the AF's A380 might come back to Canada?

Just in time for the World Cup. Wish them luck. It is great to see more international airlines beside TAP and AA starting secondary markets in Brazil and connecting them to Europe and America.
