Trinity Islands Scheme Submitted for Planning in Manchester
Manchester, United Kingdom – 13 March 2017
Quote:
Developer Allied London has submitted its Trinity Islands “vertical village” hotel and residential scheme for planning.

Located across a 1.9-hectare site near the Museum of Science and Industry, the Child Graddon Lewis (CGL)-designed scheme comprises 1,400 homes across five inter-linked towers rising to 67 stories in height. It forms part of the developer’s wider St. John’s Quarter neighborhood, which includes the redevelopment of ITV’s former Granada Studios.

“Trinity Islands appeals to a wide variety of people with its excellent on-site amenity and community-lead retail offering, as well as its sky gardens and lounges, which allow residents to relax and unwind,” said James Sidlow, project director at Allied London. “As one of the tallest residential schemes in Western Europe, residents [of Trinity Islands] will enjoy some of Manchester’s most scenic views.”

Subject to winning detailed planning approval, construction could start on the project in late 2017. The final stage of the St. John’s scheme is due to complete by 2022.
