You complain about airport staff uniforms by pointing-out that they look like construction workers because they're wearing denim jeans. So what?! Are denim jeans so undesirable that they make your eyes bleed?! NO! I mean, c'mon! At least, they're not shirtless!

You complain about the non-uniformity between the font of the money changer kiosk's signboard and the terminal's directionals. So?! Does it make the terminal any less functional!
That's the difference between a MEDIOCRE airport and a WORLD-CLASS airport.

Well, what do you expect you came from a poor country. You yourself is the representative of your own country. No wonder there is no progress in the Philippines because of people like yourself.

You're an example for "a waste and the burn of mankind". Or are you just pretending to be a filipino and you are actually just a troll?

For SERVICE and SECURITY reasons, airport personnel should look more like this. Plus, it will give the Philippines a better image.

You know what? You're really a dumb F***. Why???Because those pinoys you saw in those picture that you thought was security personnels are actually people that works for the airlines like cebu pacific to handle the baggages in the carousel because of the chaos on the openning week, do you even know how to zoom in pictures to get a clearer image of a picture? There is no airports in this world who functioned by 100% smooth on their first week, even in BKK whenever they first opened their new airport. Do we even have to check your IP number to find out where you really are and currently located when u post. What quality control are you talking about?? This is not the factory you are working for. You don't even sound an engineer when you presented your own assessments. I'm surprised you are not banned yet for trolling.

You are so idiot....those are the baggage personnel at Terminal 3. Have you seen the guards at the airport? They even look better than this picture! Go first to T3 before you make this silly statement.

With you're uber-standard, there are only sixteen airports that have terminals that are fit to be called 'world-class.'

And, they are:
Singapore-Changi (all terminals)
Hong Kong-Chek Lap Kok (all terminals)
Seoul-Incheon
Madrid-Barajas (Terminal 4)
Beijing-Capital (Terminal 3)
Copenhagen (all terminals)
Kuala Lumpur
Amsterdam-Schiphol (all terminals)
Osaka-Kansai
Zurich
Helsinki-Vantaa (International Terminal)
Dubai (all terminals)
San Francisco (International Terminal)
Toronto-Pearson (Terminal 3)
Paris-Charles de Gaulle (Terminal 2 and Terminal 3)
Munich (all terminals)

All I'm driving at is NO airport personnel should be dressed as shabbily like those guys on the right. Don't you IDIOTS [email protected]#%$*ing get it? (haha).

FYI, this is actually the 5th attempt to open the Naia3. The planning was started 28 months ago. That is ample time for any airport to get ready.

What do you expect with baggage handlers? even here in the US the baggage handlers even wear short pants and sleeveless shirts on summer time. They just have to be in the building because of those problems the terminal was facing because of the glitches which is normal in any airports. Do you expect baggage handlers to dress up real nice???

Why are we even responding to a moron like this waste of space named hein???

Did you even forget that the airport is only 90% completed?? The construction was halted because it was mired with lots of legalities and that the Philippine government took over the terminal building and the construction since then has been a tag of war with the Japanese firm takenaka??

I'm gonna guess they would say...

Hmm.. are those construction workers? I guess the terminal is only 98% finished.

First, thank you for this interesting info I'll try to check the sites of those airports. I hope the new South terminal in Barcelona will reach such a standard. I've only used until now the airport of Schipol, which I agree is really top class.

Let Hein think that he is superior and belongs to s select few who knows what things really should be.. Its his right. I just hope he stops whining soon and starts doing something productive for the country he's so critical with.

Dudes, chill. Besides, without critics like hein, and those people who agree with him, we will not know what things we would still have to work on, to make it at par with the rest of the world.

Yes, people have a right for their opinions especially if it is "constructive " but if the purpose is to let other people down or merely just "bashing" especially his own country just as how he usually stated his comments that are baseless and non-sensical, there is no justice and exception on these actions, it must be stopped.

I think the reason for those baggage handlers to be in the building is due to the previous week's glitches that affected even the baggage conveyor so they have to be directed to step in to assist all the customers. I don't think they were there just to roam around just because they feel like it. Observing from what it really appears like, they seems to have brought additional bench or chairs on the predepature hall which in the previous news, people were complaining about lack of sitting area so those gentlemen picked that bench from the other wing, perhaps the closed section on the east wing. That gentleman in white button up shirt might be a manager directing the baggage handlers so they were probably pulled out of the tarmac ground to assist on top side. I think we pinoys are just very impulsively critical and i don't think it's healthy for anybody not just us because it always cause conflicts.

Someone posted the list of the BEST airports in the WORLD. I noticed that 3 of our closest neighbors are included in the list: Malaysia, Singapore and HK.

It is not an accident or by luck that they are included in the list. It is because they have committed themselves to PERFECTION and have worked very hard to execute this faithfully.

As member Justhorace has stated:

"EXCELLENCE IS A CHOICE"

Unless the Phillippines decides to go through this path, we will find it difficult to be counted as WORLD-CLASS by the international community.

PERFECTION as defined by our neighbor. What can a small country of 4 million do that our 90 million can't?

@ hein

Well, first off, they've got the money.

According to a ranking by the 2008 Edition of the CIA Factbook, Singapore is the richest country in terms of per-capita GDP in all of Asia, Japan and Hong Kong notwithstanding.

This means that they have unparalleled financing power to 'beautify' and provide unique amenities to their airport terminals.

Although the Manila International Airport Authority is the richest in the country, its financing power is nowhere near that of Singapore's.

I believe they had to borrow some furniture and fixtures from NAIA Terminal 1, for the meantime, because the budget for newer furniture and fixtures hasn't been released yet.

So, quit with the bashing and stop being such an idealist and being so naive. Be a realist!

Then again, Filipinos as a people had a choice between wealth and poverty, but to choose wealth was to give up greed.
