The Jewels twin towers launched

Dubai: A new landmark has just been launched in Dubai Marina, company officials said.

"It is our mission to offer state-of-the-art residences, reflective of the rapid advancements in technology and the growing need for quality housing," said Ahmad M. Al Hatti, chief executive of The Jewels and President of Jade Development.

The project's cost is placed at Dh220 million and completion is expected at the end of 2006, company officials said.

The architecture is of the highest quality, having been designed by the same award-winning team that conceptualised the Emirates Towers, company officials said.

The Jewels' twin towers rise 20 storeys, housing a whole spectrum of residences. They include one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, duplexes, penthouses and lofts, officials said.

Complementing this wide array of residences is a range of amenities, company officials said.

The Jewels launched as largest waterfront project

Dubai : Co-developers Palma Real Estate and Jade Property Development are showcasing their Dh300 million project, The Jewels, at Home Owner Dubai 2005.
The 50-million square foot project, which was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, is described by its developers as the largest waterfront development in the world.

"It's going to be a landmark project. You won't find another project like this in Dubai Marina," Palma Real Estate Director Kareem Derbas said.

After the recent success of their last residential project, Residence del Mar, Palma Real Estate joined newcomers Jade Property Development to bring to Dubai yet another major development project.

The Saudi-owned Jade Property Development, based in Riyadh, established its business in Dubai six months ago.

According to sources, the idea of the vast residential project came when the Saudi owners of Jade property wanted to build residences for themselves in Dubai, and this eventually grew to become the large-scale project.

Both co-developers, Jade Property Development and Palma Real Estate, are looking to take advantage of Dubai's flourishing real estate market.

"Dubai has become a brand name, and the brand attached to it is that it's a global city. It has the infrastructure and the location," Derbas, said.

Developers are not worried that the market's growth rate will slow down soon or even experience an excess in the supply of properties.

"There's a general concern among investors because of the large number of buildings, but all you need is to attract the small percentage of high-end customers," noted Derbas.

The Jewels project includes the 20-storey twin towers and a range of amenities, including a business centre, conference room and an executive lounge.

It offers potential property owners a choice of one-, two- and three bedroom apartments, duplexes, penthouses and lofts.

Prices of properties at the Jewels range from Dh700 to Dh900 per square foot, and property areas range from 970 square feet to 9,400 square feet.

The Jewels project has already sold 60 per cent of its establishments a day after its official launch and is looking to increase this figure during the Home Owner Dubai exhibition.

According to sources, construction is expected to begin in three month's time and the project is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2006.
