Best S&B photo competition!
Hi all!
I think it's time to do some competition's around here. So here we go with best S&B photo competition. Everybody is welcomed to post photo which in your opinion is best your ever made photo. Rules: 1) Photo must be made by you. 2) One person can post only one photo. 3) You can post any kind of photo: urban/suburban/landscape and so on. 4) Photo can be taken outside S&B region. Pretty clear and easy i think ![]() Now let's see your best ever made photo. Later i will create pool and everybody will vote. Competition will last for one week. I hope you will be active here and we will see some nice photos. If you have any suggestion's post them in same message with your photo or write PM to me

2 questions:
1. Are we allowed to post photos taken outside the S&B region? 2. It doesn't have to be an urban photo, does it?

OK. My try... hard to find THE ONE. I will risc and post here picture made in New Zealand by me four years ago. Champagne pool in Northern Island. Absolutely unique place - more that 60 m deep and 60 m in diameter, gargantuan hot spring, temperature - 74 C degrees. It contains much antymonium, mercury, gold and other heavy metals. It is very acidic, contains also many gases, and has bubbles going up all the time - hence the name "Champagne pool". Walking around it is not that safe - some 40 years ago some tourist fell through the soil in this boiling acid and died immediately.
One day I will make picture thread about my adventures in New Zealand... that was pretty good time - managed to see more than most NZ inhabitants see in their life. When I took the picture, rain was coming. Fume from the pool was overshadowing the sky all the time, but after waiting for some 15 minutes wind blowed it aside for some seconds... and I pictured it. Scanned from photograph: ![]() If having photographs from places outside S&B region would not be allowed - could I post one more from our region?

Knowing how talented you guys are, this will be a tough competition! Anyway, I don't know if this is my best picture ever, but I think it's pretty cool anyway, and it was taken last Friday (Feb. 18th) in Monument Valley, Arizona:

seems that there is one competition where also i could take part. The thing is that my camera was stolen 2 years ago and all this time i was living without my own camera. So - my best shots wasn't made - their only in my head.
There is one photo made about 3 years ago. The place is near Riga - Dole island in Daugava. There is museum for Daugava river with old fisherman farmstead. There are also old old fish traps (something between fish net and cage made of wood and willow-twigs) exhibited. The thing is that i do not remember - is this exactly for salmon or for eel. There are both of them showen.

Well, mine actually is a big piece of shit and a masterwork in one
I tried to make a night shot of the red light district in Amsterdam, but of course without tripod it is almost impossible. But then, after visiting Van Gogh museum and while looking at this picture from a bit of distance, I found it kinda cool, like a painting Judge yourself: Red Light District, Amsterdam

I have no idea what is the best photo I have made.
This may be abit kitch, but it think it is fairly good still, because it was taken in a boat, with no tripod!
