Oh please don't be bland, concrete-sided commieblocks; give us something interesting and thoughtful, especially when they're this tall!

Well... I guess its not a commieblock... It's not radical either... Let's just say its in the Goldilock's zone.

Why can't they be more creative and have outdoor swimmingpool areas?? Korean apartment complexes are so boring with only open space gardens and playgrounds...nothing for adults...and if there is, it's always indoors...ugh

The cladding will make or break this....I feel like that's becoming short hand on this site for, "the design's boring, but maybe it'll be shiny". At least that skybridge adds something.

The project has been approved after passing the city's review yesterday.

Dating back to 2009, the project had been challenged because it was only an hotel and wasn't residential at all. So after changing its plans, Boyoung has come up with a new plan (doesn't change the render of the project) to have the hotel take up only 48% of the buildings, instead of 95%.

No information on when they will start construction, but that shouldn't be too far away. Expect completion in 2018 or 2019, if everything goes well.

This just goes to show you that you really can't develop a large hotel complex anywhere these days. In the new plan, the complex can have one hotel tower, one office tower, and one residential tower (can't really tell because the complex's uses are unclear at this point). Also, I'm guessing that the skybridge from an early render of the complex would be dropped because of the recent revision.

Buyoung to obtain construction permit by November

Buyoung Group is now expected to obtain the building permit for these towers by mid-November, which could mean that construction will start this year, according to the article below. Last I heard about the project, it was actually Buyoung who was taking some time to fine-tune the project and the financial modelling, so it seems these issues have been resolved.

It will be 2 residential towers (49 floors) and one hotel tower (47 floors).

Of course it could still be delayed... but great news

New renders, with more cladding. They definitely look better. Still quite ugly because its Buyoung Group, but at least that's a move in the right direction.
