7. many of those tall buildings are ugly (brown, red, etc are not good colors for skyscrapers), but it looks like there are a couple newer skyscrapers. hamilton looks pretty nice for a very industrial town.

Considering it's a city of only 500k, and it's that bloody dense downtown, I have to give it a 9/10. It only looks good from certain angles though, like when the escarpment doesn't blot it out from behind, and when you can see the full extent of downtown residential highrises.

I voted 8. 3 reasons, 1. I live there and it's so peaceful life there. 2. Downtown is Pretty dense for population 500's 3. I love driving up and down from the mountains overlooking at the downtown at night time is ever romantic drive!

I've been to Hamilton quite a few times, mostly passing through and I must say, although the skyline is pretty dense and quite impressive, it's not exactly appealing.
Despite this I personally give it a 6.5

the skyline looks "outdated" and not very high. Still nice from some angles 4.5/10

It looks nice. Not too big and not too small. I give it a 9

In some of the pictures there is a statue, who is it of?

I never thought much of the Hamilton skyline until I saw it from the escarpment on the other side of the bay. I was riding on the Via Rail train to the Jays season opener and the view from the train (London-Brantford-Oakville-Toronto line) was outstanding. It looked quite dense from that vantage point and suggest to anyone that has a chance to take a picture of the skyline from this point should do it.

8/10

8/10- very nicely developed for its pop, but it needs a tall one.

Zim the statue I think your talking about is John McDonald, Canada's first Prime Minister. Back in those days McDonald often had his PM residence in Hamilton.

Hamilton is alright I guess, it could really use a new name though. "Hamilton" is probably the worst possible name they coulda come up with.
