I'm surprised to see so much going on in a city like Jeonju--not in the Sudogweon or Yeongnam areas, and, obviously, not Seoul itself. I wonder if the Honam KTX has anything to do wth it.

I was doind the research on the developer's sites and there are indeed a lot of projects in secondary cities (Jeonju, Cheonan, Cheongju...). And I'm only creating topics for buildings over 30 floors, but the construction activity is spread all across the country. I was actually surprised by it myself. I don't think it's the KTX thing for Jeonju though. At least not more than the other cities, because, with the new Honam line and KTX service on regular railroads (Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, Donghae, Jeolla), almost every mid-size city in Korea is now near a KTX station, or will be.

Sorry the photo is so tiny. But it shows that they were working on foundations back in April when it was taken.

Officially qualifies for the smallest picture updated on this forum. Just to show that the construction is moving forward

Does anyone know the height of the new Skycity towers in Jeonju which are right next to this development?

The buildings : Kolon Sky Tower

They top out at 42 floors, so that would be, according to CTBUH calculation, about 140m. But that's not the official height.

They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4*Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

South Korea, China, United states made a name for themselves now South Korea and China take it and should take it even more and build towers 40fl as standard.

I do love skyscrapers and those countries should be proud.
