Can someone please tear down this ugly warehouse behind the ECB. Looks kind of out of place.

It will not be an antenna, but a spire. Actually the building belongs into the skyscraper section.

Spectacular aerial photos.

And yes, this tower belongs into the skyscraper section.

To me that looks like an antenna, but let's not have that discussion again.

at the moment it is not sure if it's going to be a standard antenna or the spiral.
There is an ECB Gremium discussing about it, but the decision should be made the next days, if it' not already been made.
When it is going to be indeed the spiral than the structural height will be raised.
Also the spire will be walkable.

As a comparism i would like to show this exapmle of the One Bryant Park Building:

Pic: Eric Kilby, http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...20120219170853

Here the spire is counted as well to the general height.

If they decide to have the spire, yes, than this building belongs to the Skyscraper Section.
If it's going to be an normal antenna, like the commerzbank tower in frankfurt, than of course it needs to stay in that section here.

Generally spoken:
Of course there needs to be a discussion where this thread should be located, SCC has clear rules. 185m or 220m is quite a difference, isn't it?

@ Eric:
In that case it does not matter if it looks like an antenna, when in fact it will not be an antenna. When its structural an spire, than it's an spire

Wow. Didn't the Burj Khalifa cost that much? What happened that allow the cost to explode to that amount. Is there a source available to this info?

Yeah, the Burj Khalifa cost around 1,5 billion $ to build. Lower wages for construction workers and they didn't have to tear down old buildings.
