I'm skeptical about the cladding, specifically what appears to be randomly-sized openable sections at the top of each window pane. The proposal is certainly better than that sodomizing orange and grey dog turd initially planned to stick to the old Royal Mail sorting office.

Is that spire neccessary? London likes towers with curves.

That tootpick on top looks even more insubstantial than that on Heron Tower, and that's quite something.

Yes, that's the proposed height - thread title is out of date.

An application has been submitted. The tower is planned to be 276m to the tip of the spire, and 253m to the edge of the facade overrun.

Something doesn't feel right about putting that in the West End. It's too tall by far. What are the chances it gets approved as-is?

The anti paddington tower lobby are going all out , but the proposition is no where to be seen.

There is still time to comment , a planning decision is due to be made in March.
