MINNEAPOLIS | 200 Central | 142m | 467ft | 40 fl | Pro

http://www.minneapolismn.gov/www/gro...s1p-150528.pdf

A 40 story residential tower has been proposed for the Old Saint Anthony area, otherwise known as HenCen. 240-290 dwelling units is currently proposed, and it is unknown at this point whether it will be condos (more likely) or apartments. 3 grounds of parking underground with 2 above with a possible future conversion to office in the above ground levels of parking. There will be a little over 6,000 sq ft of retail. A high end restaurant is interesting in a new concept, as well as NYC based 'SoulCycle'. For residents of the tower, they will have amenities like a small spa, a pool and a fitness center.

It's a fine looking tower and I'm happy (and hopeful) it will be built. I just wish the scale and magnitude of this project was being developed along Nicollet Mall at either the Opus or Nicollet Hotel site. Frankly, the north end of Nicollet Mall is the true and logical location where a residential skyscraper of 40+ stories should be built. Would have been the perfect complement to the renovation Nicollet Mall and added something iconic to symbolize the mall's rejuvenation. A golden opportunity wasted.
