As the above map shows, the opposite is true.
How'd they miss that?

Oh by the way, more than likely, the schedule will match the DART Rail Orange Line's schedule, since it'll reach the airport. (4am to 1am)

Not official, but it seems likely.

TEXRail now 100% funded.

Tweet from Mayor Price

RailwayAge article

Quote:
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced Dec. 15 a $499.39 million federal grant agreement with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (FWTA) to build TEX Rail, a commuter rail line between downtown Fort Worth and the Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport.

The 26.8-mile commuter rail line will serve downtown Fort Worth, the City of Grapevine and DFW Airport. The project also will provide connections to other transportation services in the area, including the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light rail system, Amtrak, Trinity Railway Express and the FWTA bus system. FWTA estimates that TEX Rail will open in 2018. Estimated ridership is 9,000 daily transit trips when it opens, rising to 13,700 by 2035.

Why build something beautiful that reflects current styles and zeitgeist when you can build something fake from a different era instead.

What kind of arrogant and haughty statement is that?

There's no rule stating that you have to build a certain style in a certain era and there's no such thing as a "fake building".

Architecture is timeless and should be celebrated with all styles...

There is a planed Urban Bus Connector from Downtown to West 7th/Cultural District called "The Dash" that would run every 15 minutes. The FWTA is purchasing new, electric buses to run the route, which will be the first of their kind for Fort Worth. Buses will have WiFi. It will run 10 - 10 M-th and 10 - 2:30 am on Fri and Sat. The route will connect to the Intermodal Transportation Center.

Most likely, we won't see them until around this time next year.

The first FLIRT in the U.S. has been complete, so we're just waiting for the others, the stations, and the rest of the track to be laid.
