Cathedral | Évora, Portugal
This romanesque cathedral,built between 1186 and 1204, includes a Gothic entrance with the sculpted figures of the Apostles, an 18th-century main altar and many other treasures of sacred art

This is one of my favorite cathedrals from Portugal! Very long, with arabic influences and a big and beautifull gothic window at the front facade!

Our largest "true cathedral" if I'm not mistaken. I just love how it sits at the very top of the hill with the city spreading out around it! Lovely.10/10

i think that its the better and more pretty romanesque catedral in Portugal, the small dome in the is very nice and more impressive when one people is in front to this work. I see that was eliminated the barroques vaults, im so pleased it Last edited by Valia; July 1st, 2005 at 02:39 AM. |
