New tram project

These are the tentative routes for the new system:

Thanks to Rosario for retruning tram, although it is a heritage tram. It uses the same rolling stock was used by previous tram network, which was closed in sixties. This was a very large tram system, which was near 200Km. But like other Argentine cities, the entire network was closed.

Thankfully many of the old tram track remained on street still today, some are in good condition also. So Rosario transport authority started running the heritage service on that old track, after some refurbishment. Currently it uses a small stretch of single line, just like Lima heritage tram. Note that singli line portion is a part of former network, which used double track.

Here are some photos of former tram network, look the similarities of rolling stocks.

See the last photo carefully, this is identical with the present heritage tram system.

The trolleys Trolza Megapolis look from the future, from a local perspective, lol. Here in Argentina a local enterprise called Materfer made some decent new trolleys, but they're far from that.
