NEW YORK | 611 West 56th Street | 107m | 351ft | 34 fl | Pro

First Look at Starchitect Álvaro Siza's First U.S. Project

Quote:
Just over six months after Pritzker Prize-winning Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza announced that he was setting his sights on New York, Wallpaper has got its hands on the very first partial render for the building. Development firm Sumaida + Khurana and LENY commissioned the architect for his first American project —a 34-story condo building in Midtown, this past summer. The building will have 80 apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms, and a few penthouses.

The project features 172,000 square feet of space. Amenities in the building include a landscaped roof garden, private terraces, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.

For the interiors, Siza is collaborating with noted interior design firm, Gabellini Sheppard. SLCE Architects will serve as the architect of record on the project.

I guess you are confident!
Alvaro Siza is not the kind of architect people praise on Skyscrapercity:too humble with humanist designs inspired by his portuguese soul.
That pure genius is the Fernando Pessoa of architecture and who is not thrilled by is Boa Nova house should just try to go to the butterflies catching...
