^ the roof isnt completed yet! it has to be clad in the glazing, like rest of bldg. also a lid is to be put on half way up fin.

Actually, the glass should go all the way to the top of the fins. It does in the rendering.

Unfortunately, this is one of a number of areas in which economic cost-cutting has caused the tower's final appearance to be different to that in the initial renders. The glass won't be going to the top of the fins

Cost-cutting?
How much can a few metres of extra glass cost? Maybe $10,000? Whatever it is it can't be much compared to the cost of the entire building...:S.

as i mentioned a few days ago, it wasnt cost cutting at all, it was all beacuse of the BMU equipment using the frame as a runner. who cares. looks fabulous!

I wouldn't waste your time Cul - some people are determined to find some fault with this tower simply because its one of the tallest buildings in the Southern Hemesphere - and because its in Queensland. Tall poppy syndrome at work.
