The should have extended the spire all the way down the building into the pool at the base of the tower. That would have made the most awesome waterslide on the planet :-)

It do believe thats from Coolangatta.

Its on the south end of the Gold Coast urban area. The coast line makes a big curve (broken up by a few headlands etc, river), and then eventually faces north. This is taken from that area there.

that park the pic was taken from is part of the site of future 100storey/300 Transit Tower. 2x300m bldgs should look good together. along with 240m Soul & 220m Con Cav.

another section of spire was put up yesterday. now 270m high.
the spire weighs 110 tonnes. each section of spire is 8 tonne and approx 10m long. should reach full 322.5m next week!!
