Gold and Green...while I dislike Gold cladding it might not be bad for Dubai's sci-fi skyline

Wow, I am astonished by the negativity. By now I think that you should know that when you see gold on renders, in real life it is almost always much more subtle, as the gold still needs to be seethrough. I am expecting something elegant like the 63 building in Seoul, meaning discreet during the day and night but stunning and reflective at sunsets and sunrises. The design itself I find it quite interesting, very Dubai. The only downside in my opinion is the sort of greenish colour throughout the building which is highly unusual. But, like the gold it might be much more discreet in real life as I don't have any green skyscrapers to use as reference that pop into mind. Overall I hope it gets built!

I don't understand why everyone doesn't like them either. I think these buildings really fit Dubai. In my opinion, every building is beautiful because people put the time and energy to build it and plan it out. Everyone just needs to be optimistic.

Yeah, it's just a render, it will look nothing like it when done.

Anyone with any bit of skyscrapercity (or skyscraper news in general) experience can tell that that's a poor render. If you've had an account here for more than two months, how can you not know that cladding just doesn't look like that in real light?

Shitty render doesn't mean shitty tower it just means shitty render, architecturally and design wise it's sound IMO nothing groundbreaking but very dubai.

I see the good news hasn't reached the internatonal forum yet. They are filling the hole with sand which means this project is absolutely dead

Better no tower than this tower And it's better they stop it now instead of abandoning the project halfway through construction. It is very obvious that the developer is just as unreliable as Al Attar.

I find it weird that they fill it up, some other developer would be all too happy with a pit like that.
