Oh wow awesome video! You guys gotta check it in person, that hole is huge and the tower takes most of it according to the first screenshot. Anyways let's see how things progress from here ... this will no doubt turn to the most interesting construction of the century

So the occupiable "bulb" section starts at 711m and ends at 1014m, that's a supertall on its own!

OH MY GOD! Last observation deck is on 1001m (at least)

This could have been increased by now

Spire according to renders is as tall as that bulb so I expect a final height between 1300m and 1400m

Dubai ... thank you for making this possible in my lifetime

I'm starting to believe that it is going to be much higher than 1000 meters

Guys when you say official information please, give us the link of the source of the information to see it

Or at least the website of those height numbers above if there is one

Otherwise, it actually won't look official

Looking forward to going to Dubai in September, but I may have to plan another trip once this big boy is finished! How many years will this take?

Something 2019-2020?

But even in this September, I expect nothing to be visible above ground level.
Maybe if you can get at the construction site itself, but that looks like impossible....

Wow ! My/Our SSC Friendly Family Brothers, Sisters and ALL Friends and Guests ,
Don't be Surprised If this Dubai Tower 1400 Meters plus Tops out before the Jeddah ( Kingdom ) Tower at over 1100 Meters maybe taller with Spires added , But The Dubai Tower Developers are serious and believe me , they have more money and funds to complete the Dubai Tower Faster than The Jeddah Tower, and Yes Time Will Tell I say IMO only please, don't expect either Tower completed by 2020, maybe 2021 For sure, there's still a long way up to go , and the Summers in Both Cities are too Hot to work in, but Nights are Good to work !!
15th Anniversary of SkyScraperCity Dot Com , September 11th, 2017 !!
Very well appreciated DubaiM, my SSC Friend to Everyone here , Great Photos and Updates everyone !
Chuck and Old. LOL

As we can see, the actual width of the tower is way smaller than the diameter of the hole. Kind of disappointing in my opinion since the tower doesn't seem to be wide enough to have floors all the way up. Time will tell

Who's that little (and nice...) woman?

Looks Spanish; maybe a co-worker of Calatrava?

I like women working in technical functions.
They have a complete different vision and approach on things than men.
