are there newer plans? The Island district was the first to start off and those numbers seem consistent with that proposal I found. The other areas seem like they are not yet really set in stone. The overall shape of the skyline might fit though. A little shorter towers to the mall side and tall supertalls to the other side. If the tallest towers in the end will be 350m or 500m we will still see

Nah this plan was made after the majority of towers were launched on the island district, I know of future Emaar planned towers located in proximity to the Dubai Creek Tower that are not in sync with this study.

Just like Downtown Dubai where there wasn't supposed to be any supertalls in the masterplan 15 years ago, there is nothing set in stone for Dubai Creek Harbour as well

Are these future plans public knowledge or something you just know from inside sources? Most towers on the Emaar website and in the local Dubai Creek Harbour subforum seem to be buildings in the island district.

If the master plan of buildings around the tallest tower will be changing, could you update how will be ?
From your opinion which area will be better in this whole project? Island or near to tower ?

Yeah it is not public yet ... one tower I know of is ~60 floors that is located in a tower plot that is supposedly 40-49 floors only according to this study. This tower is outside the Island district on the second row of towers from the Dubai Creek Tower

There is nothing set in stone ... and it depends on what are you looking for .. if you care for a waterfront, the island is your best friend, but if you are looking for an unobstructed view to the Tower then inland is better in my opinion.

I'm looking to living there looking to the new tallest tower
I believe the island area face to the new tallest tower looking to garden area then water then the tower will be better , do you agree with me ?

Careful with Tower views from the island, in Dubai you never know what they'll build in front of your window. You could have a perfect view and the next year they'll start construction on a 400m tower right in front of you...

Maybe we can hope for dozens of supertalls in this district then. Just a simple case of supply and demand. Given Dubai's population will double in 15 years, this could be huge!!

If they throw enough cash and human-power into it, it's definitely possible to have the whole Creek Tower topping out by the time of the Expo in October 2020. Like you mentioned, we've seen this classic massive thick supertall rise some 260m in mere half a year! With only the technology from 1930!

The remaining problem is after topping out, how long will it take to finish all the interior decor and systems? When Emaar does not want to compromise on quality and luxury, their towers take a looooong time between topping out to being open for guests, e.g. their Address series in Downtown. The occupied bulb of the Creek Tower is approx 435m, which in its own right would be the 2nd tallest building in Dubai today! It's hard to imagine how Emaar can rush through the interior finishings on time...

The tower is very skinny though, meaning less material necessary and less concrete, it should go up faster than buildings usually do I think.

You must remember that if the cables are running through the mast, or tower,on saddles or some type of tension system, at each connection, (connections which amounts to over 1000 feet of vertical rise in the mast, and each of which will not be connected fast, or solid to the mast, because an allowance for expansion and contraction of the entire cable system is mandatory for it to work at all, means that construction of the mast cannot continue past any mast anchor points, until the saddles at each point are completed, the cable system installation is going cause downtime, in the upward construction of the mast, unless the cables are "threaded" through the anchor points after they are built, in any case I would like to see the logistics plan for this phase of the construction, so as far as mast construction is concerned, in my opinion, the cable aspect of this structure, throws any standard concrete slipform upward construction timeframes out the window

Anyway, the slipform can not be used just above the cable connection area, because the bulb starts here, and the tower will get a totally different shape from here upwards.

But the cable connection part is indeed an interesting item in the total construction of this tower.
Unprecedented on this scale...

Technologies invented for this special tower will be used in further developments and boost the speed of construction.
Doka formwork enhanced to reach the requirements for a faster workflow.
Concrete to get mixed when pouring to the top.
Elevator shafts and technologies for higher possible single shaft elevators.

All this and more will be a gamechanger for the future. If they succeed now - with all their plans, they will impress with future residence projects we all dreamed of.

Gabriel, it was nice to meet you, looking forward to meet again.
