Is it true that Caltrain is considering to buy Alstom Coradia Duplex trainsets for future eletrificatied lines?

If so it's a rumor, though Caltrain does want to purchase "off the shelf" Double decker EMUs made by european manufacturers.

They look kinda cheap looking...more suited for a large bus stop then a train station.

They're definitely not anything special. But they are comparable to ones used on other commuter rail systems.

Other station amenities have yet to be installed (lighting, cameras, signage etc.).

They are going for a classic, rather than contemporary, look. It fits the region better, especially with the wine tourism (Sonoma is very "rustic").
