DUBAI | Aykon City | 300m+ | 80 fl | 300m+ | 70 fl | 231m | 63 fl | 221m | 60 fl | U/C

DAMAC Properties has announced a major new project, destined to become another icon of Dubai's real estate landscape.

'AYKON City' is a six tower luxury project comprising Dubai's first all-suites, 80 storey AYKON Hotel and Residences, a 63 storey DAMAC Maison Serviced Hotel Residences, a 60 storey apartment tower, a 65 storey office tower and two c. 30 floor ultra-luxury residential towers featuring state-of-the-art car lifts to each unit and direct views over Dubai Canal and Safa Park. Limited release of the serviced residences go on immediate sale with further releases in due course.

This project will also feature the 'AYKON Dare', an addition to Dubai's tourist attractions; an adrenaline experience on the 80th floor of the Hotel where guests get to walk around the outside of the tower's roof for a real adventure and with magnificent views of the city. For the less adventurous, 'AYKON City' will also consist of the 'AYKON Plaza' with swimming pools, Spa, beach club, cafés, restaurants, Yoga and Tai-chi areas, and private members club.

The project sales value is AED 7.4 billion and construction is due to commence before this summer with a completion date of 2021.

I did a mistake in the title it should be 2x30F at the end of it

Anyways this project got one 80F supertall and possibly another 65F office tower supertall as well

Something interesting from the website: (-->http://www.aykoncity.com/)

AYKON Dare is set to be Dubai’s newest tourist attraction. A stunning glass pinnacle at the crown of the tallest tower of the development will offer beautiful views of some of the city’s most iconic attractions;
and dare devils can venture outside before climbing the sky walk to the upper level. Visitors can then experience the feeling of walking in the air – on the glass floored viewing box and take in superb
vistas of Dubai’s most iconic neighbourhood

----

285 metres to upper level

--> It's gonna be a close call.. The upper level is 285m high, so if it doesn't have a ceiling height of 15m, it's not a supertall

Edit: It looks like the upper floor is as high as 5 regular floors. It should be a supertall then.

DubaiM that is so weird I thought 80F will guarantee it to be a supertall!
Anyways its Damac and they are known for not being so accurate in calculating height and they might have actually took 285m without the podium floors

Does anyone know what harness means? I am not an architect so I can't understand what does it have to do with towers? they said "106 meters in harness"

It could still be a supertall though. 285m is the height of the floor and not the height of the ceiling. Since the upper floor looks like 5 regular floors in terms of height, there are good chances for the tower to be a supertall

I'm glad this tower complex is being built, it's like Damac Tower's twin (although designed sightly differently) further south.

This is a decent design, but it's a pretty gross exaggeration to say that it's "destined to become another icon of Dubai." Not everything buit in Dubai is an icon. And if it were, then nothing would be an icon.

I doubt there will be any 1/2 or 2/3-mile long plots

This is very weird ... 80F and a huge ass podium and shorter than 300m!! Really!! I think Damac might have calculated the height starting not from ground level but more from the last podium floor up. that's my 2 cents.
