MIAMI | 10 SW Eighth | 291m | 954ft | 70+ fl | Pro

A site in Brickell currently occupied by a Burger King restaurant is slated for a new tower:

Brickell Burger King Could Be Replaced With 960-Foot Tower

Quote:
Brickell’s only Burger King serves thousands of meals to construction workers, but it may soon be replaced by a skyscraper.

Plans were submitted to the FAA last week for a 954-foot tower on the site, which would replace the entire Burger King strip mall at 10 Southwest Eighth Street. It would top out at 960 feet above sea level, thanks to a six-foot elevation of the property.

The developer behind the proposal wasn’t listed.

[...]

The neighborhood is already seeing drastic changes:

wow, if all of these projects get built, Miami will easily have the no. 3 skyline in the US.

Is it already? I couldn't imagine another city having more. Perhaps San Francisco or Houston?

considering Miami doesn't have any buildings taller than 800' yet, you could easily make an argument that other cities with taller buildings (for example Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta) have a better skyline. Miami doesn't have the best architecture either. That will change soon.
