Very similar to the Greek Orthodox churches that are dotted around the country hills. Excellent photography. Very atmospheric.

Supercool story:

Quote:
The Demons and the Pigs
(Mark 5:1-20; Luke 8:26-39)

28When Jesus arrived on the other side in the region of the Gadarenes,c two demon-possessed men met Him on their way from the tombs. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.

29“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have You come here to torture us before the proper time?”

30In the distance a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31So the demons begged Jesus, “If You drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

32“Go!” He told them. So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and perished in the waters.

Žiča monastery (Serbia)

The monastery, together with the Church of the Holy Dormition, was built by the first King of Serbia, Stefan the First-Crowned and the first Head of the Serbian Church, Saint Sava from 1207 to 1217.
Žiča was the seat of the Archbishop (1219–1253), and by tradition the coronational church of the Serbian kings.
Abandoned during Ottoman occupation it was roofless for more than 200 years.
