This is really smal circuit isn't it???
I expected that this would be a little bigger than this.

5km is quite big i would say! I love the tight turns and chicanes in this track, looks very promising. It reminds me a bit of Hungaroring, slow and tricky track which suits the best racers not the best engines...

I don't think it looks at all like the Hungaroring. This track seems to have at least three very high speed curves (one a little after the start, one before the strait line at the farthest point of the track, and one opposite the pits that reminds me of the one at Suzuka). This track will be interesting as those curves promise to be very technical, meaning if you loose speed there, you are likely to be overtaken at the next sharp turn. Also promising because of the hills and slopes, not so common on modern tracks :-) A1 Ring was good for that.

All in all, an exciting track Looking forward to the race

Yeah nice pics! I'm only a little bit dissapointed that this is another Tilke-track (F1 fans know what I mean). But it's great for Turkey and of course Istanbul. Always fun to see the cars on a new track!

Hmm... I see some of those downhill runs and climbs, hey that's not too bad at all, quite a new innovation for Herman Tilke Should be one of his better works.

Good on you, Turkey

For me, it's absolutely stupid that all modern F1 Tracks are made by only ONE person - Mr. Herman Tilke. (malaysia, bahrain, china and now Turkey)

Is this still Istanbul or already outside the city boundaries? Looks so green!

Agreed 100%

The grandstands and location look great, but the track layout is quite bland. Gone are the chicanes and surface issues that make the better known tracks so great. It doesnt seem like any of the corners have any camber (positive or negative) and all the turns seem to have static radii. Well I guess it is only fitting that a boring form of motorsport gets a boring track. Anything more bland than this, and we are talking NASCAR.
