It's also got an additional 50 supertalls in the works (approved or u/c). And all that's not even including Guangzhou, the beast at the other end of the city.

That's insane. If the NT area was so hilly/mountainous, you can only imagine what if would've looked like connected to HK's skyline with even more. Perhaps when the new high-speed rail opens SZ and HK will plan more urban developments together.

Shun Hing Square looks downright runty compared to these new buildings. Unbelievable.
Although, with the height limit of 600m because of the flight paths (as in the issue with Pingan), do these new proposals have any real chance of being built as rendered? Just curious.

Its halfway between PingAn and 940 m Wutong mountain so at least 700 m height limit should bw ok

I also believe that, after the PingAn and CRC Houhai tower 'sudden' height cuts, not to mention the Qianhai nightmare, KingKey would have done their homework. After all, this is their home city and their main development.

The flight path is a bit off from these towers, and 940 m tall Wutong mountain is nearby - and not far from that flight line.

Where would the towers be in this image? Can someone draw two quick Paint lines for the two megatall locations?

Excuse the mindblowing paint skills, but I am guessing something like this? They might both be slightly more to the left, as the perspective is kinda tricky and I may be off a bit.

EDIT: apparently I can't hotlink to TinyPic.

Thanks. I just saw the pic I linked in the Baoneng Center thread and I was wondering how it would fit in, hoping for some of the city's scattered supertalls to link up a bit at one point in the future.

Designboom refers to this one as H700 Shenzhen Tower, source, guessing that's the name of this one tower as part of the China Gate project.
