Another new project for Tokyo, 2 235m tall residential towers that will be constructed between 2019 and 2026. It's a bit bittersweet because earlier plans for this the location saw the construction of the 1st Supertall building for Tokyo. That plan didn't make it, and after some years we now have this new plan. The 2 towers will be the tallest residential towers in Japan when completed, at least, if no other plans come up. I've said the same thing in other threads, it's not that far fetched. Especially since the project is only to be completed fully in 2026.

news source in Japanese.

The image shown in the opening post is an early model of the project, it looks more like a mass study then an actual design. The final design will be presented by the developers (Nomura Re) in due time. As it's a Japanese residential tower it might still turn out quite conservative. But recently there has some more interesting designs in the high end of the residential market. Not as crazy as for example all the mega slim towers in New York, but better then your average residential tower in Tokyo.

How do you find all this information? I thought you were a Dutchman? Why do you have such an interest in japanese real estate?

Great find, I hope these towers can be built so that they can complement the Shinjuku Park complex in skyline shots
