OMG this is going to be my favourite cluster in Dubai if they don't ruin it with some Al Attar/Al Yaqoub/Marina 101 kind of tower. The Damac might be my favourite project in Dubai at the moment, and this tower will look awesome next to it, hope they fill that entire corner with something great.

The tower looks massive. Impressive. And the design, while simple (and poor render) is really strong in my opinion.

New 400m Project in Dubai... <-- already U/C

classic dubai

I added the building to the SSP database.

This will further close the gap between Dubai One and the Burj

400m is an overexaggeration, even though it has more than a 100 floors, it is still aresidential tower with no roof feature. In the worse case it will be "only" 320m tall.

Hm, I can't judge the tower by a simple, low resolution render, but I'd like to see an american-like box going up in Dubai Would definitely be awesome if this area turns out to be the tallest block in Downtown soon

DS, isn't this project just waiting for a contractor, 'cause the piling is completed?

And how do we know that this project is U/C? Could also look like prep to me..

Right, they rushed the excavation and piling extremely fast but we're waiting for the main contractor for a long time already. Arabtec Tower is in the same state and we list it as on hold which is just logical.

Just think of Marada Residences (or whatever it was called), they finished and exposed the piles, and cancelled the project a few months later....

Interesting, but I have the sneaking suspicion that the cladding will end up looking awful. It could look good, if it is done right, but given the render and the fact that there are two different types of cladding, I have doubts. Only time will tell.

What's worrying me more is the fact that HDS has developed awful projects in the past They don't seem to appreciate the cladding materials a lot... Their website also looks like it's stuck in the 90's
Droneriot, don't expect too much... This project could ruin the area rather than enhancing it

Here are all of their projects:
Btw, when taking a look at them, I'm starting to believe that these towers burn like matches too

HDS Sunstar I

HDS Sunstar II

Sobha Ivory I

HDS Business Centre

Marina 106 has 106 floors and its last one will be on the 380m so I doubt this one will be this short but I did exaggerated it cz you never know how high the ceiling of each floor will be as well We can always fix it once we get an exact height

DubaiM you answered your fears in the local thread you said that the new regulation for cladding will prevent developers from using crappy cladding hence since all mentioned projects above are old you can't take them into consideration Well at least I am hoping we are right and let's be positive about it that's the only thing we can do about it anw

Flammability is not linked to the look of the cladding. It is all about the insulation materials used underneath the panels.

What's worst about these claddings is the colour... Just awful!! Please don't ruin this area and the overall skyline! Please!
You have to be reminded that 350-400m are a lot in Downtown. Except for the Burj, it would be one of the tallest in the whole Downtown Area! Not even The Address The BLVD would look as tall as this project since it achieved some of its height
with the two long spires...

Hey you just gave me an idea... does Al Attar Tower have flammable cladding?

I guess this question is rhetorical?

Never mind, saw some pictures being posted by Gabriel on continental forum showing some serious ground works.

Only doubting the height, just read a few website who are mentioning 350m?!

This is very possible, if the site that says 350m is reliable let us know so title could be changed

I just realised this means I'll finally get frequent updates of The Damac in the global section thanks to this - now that it is almost done.
