Details of the red clouded area:

Note: Color of Windows glass is green not blue (the blue color was an old proposal).

I hate to burst your bubble, but that sign has appeared long ago. Take a look at most of the Arabian capitals. They all have giant skyscrapers. And they were all built before this project. Abraj Albait didn't start anything >.> Plus tall buildings already existed in Mecca before Abraj Albait. The only difference is this time they made it taller.

I don't understand why you people don't come to your senses and acknowledge that if Mecca doesn't expand vertically, it'll be a total mess. The streets, pilgrim housing, shops, everything.

The Saudi government aren't building glass facade buildings with twists and turns (e.g infinite tower - Dubai). They're building tall, square, decent-looking buildings trying to keep all the attention on the haram, but still provide housing, hospitals and stores for the pilgrims.

for the second time in the same year,a fire happened yesterday 30 April at aser prayer time,in sara tower started at floor 15 then to floors 14 and 13.

Bridge is under construction as shown in render, By following colour arrows I marked, you can see construction from different angles. Also this is a very spot where old green coloured bridge use to be.
