What does that action of throwing a helicopter downhill symbolize?

Calling the Soviet Union "liberator of Europe" is political propaganda at its worst. "Liberation" is a process which results in something being "free". For instance the Baltic Republics were not free until 1991. There was just one oppressor replaced by an another.

That said, there's nothing wrong in remembering dead soldiers, but a forum like this should be impartial in it and not pick any particular side to be honoured.

This one remembers an episode in the liberation of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) during Operation Market Garden in World War II. It is the monument to Jan van Hoof, and stands right in front of the bridge that Van Hoof helped saving for the advancing Allied forces. Background of the story here.

Maybe not really a monument, but in my opinion a very cool sculpture in the place where I grey up. Placed by Philips in 1950 as thanks for the population for it's hard work in the factories, it represents a someone who "fierljeps" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fierljeppen). It is engraved with 1177 quality stamps from employees.

(all Philipshave top models are produced in the factories left and right from it, and things like Senseo and Perfect Draft are developed in a building next to that)

This opinion (not indisputable truth) may also be characterised as propaganda by someone.

So, may we let the people describe their own pictures in their own words?

A country where people can't choose their rulers through free eletions, where they can't express freely their opinions, where they can't practice openly their religion, where they can get only state-owned mass media, where they can't travel abroad freely, is simply not free. That's a fact, not an opinion.
