Typical City of Toronto. Instead of welcoming and bending over backwards to attract office development. They give a bunch of bullshit reasons... maybe they are right but will the developer still build or say "**** off" we don't need this shit, it's cheaper in <INSERT AMERICAN CITY HERE>. Where office towers are actually welcomed and get incentives to build. Toronto belives an incentive is to raise their taxes and the like.
That sounds cool though, especially that technology center (whatever that is) with an office development on top. This is gonna look great. Btw, will that office building be taller than neighbouring Simcoe Place?
especially that technology center (whatever that is)
Nearly half of Canada's internet data travels through 151 Front Street. 151 Front is quickly running out of space due to the new demand for colocation. This building is immediately next door, and the tech. centre is an extension (or possibly a replacement at 36943m^2) of the current data centre space.
There was a rendering of the Mies like condo at Jarvis and Charles in the Globe and Mail back in February.
It was very Mies - It was an almost black/bronze like structure. It looks a lot like TD meets Trump World - just shorter. But still very very good looking, especially for a condo. The lines are cleaner than Spire or Murano.
