Sort of looks like a small Dubai. Amazing buildings and great skyline from a distance but it sort of gives me the impression of being not very friendly to pedestrians and somewhat sterile at street level. Perhaps I'm wrong but it just gives me that impression.

The Gold Coast is very fake and synthetic but I wouldn't call it sterile.
It does have quirky 60s and 70s vibes about it too because it's been a domestic holiday playground for many decades....

They even have women in gold lamé bikinis who put money in the parking meters for people...... I kid you not.....
