ATLANTA | 98 14th Street | 280m | 920ft | 74 fl | Pro

Just got new renderings for this project in Atlanta, Georgia USA. More information will be updated when it gets in.

Source of renderings: http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/n...nta-tower.html

Updated Information:

Just got some new information:

-382 condos and 180 Corporate Suits(Long term corporate rentals) so it's fully residential...the tallest approved residential building outside of NYC and Miami in the country and I want to say North America, but not sure if there are any taller residential towers in Toronto.

-60,370 SF of retail space

-Groundbreaking expected in October or November of 2016. SAP permits being submitted in the next week.

-There will be a 2nd tower to this project that will go to the northwest of this tower. That will have 70k or so SF of retail space for a combined total of 135k or so SF of retail. It'll likely be a very high end hotel(there have been talks of Trump Hotel).

-This will be Atlanta's 2nd tallest skyscraper just after the Bank of America building so this is the tallest tower being built in over 25 years.

GORGEOUS! Atlanta's been sorely lacking in the current American boom. Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco are all getting 200m+ buildings. Washington DC is also getting a new tallest at 470'. Of the 12 big metros, only Atlanta, Dallas and Detroit are slow atm. So hopefully Atlanta joins the other 8 soon and builds this beauty

Apart from this, it's getting a new stadium.

Holy hell, when will the gaps with trees trend finally end, as if 425 Park and 125 Greenwich in NYC aren't insulting enough to the eyes, that nonsense needs to spread to other cities now.

Above the annoying gap it's a somewhat generic but good looking tower, maybe someone has some sense and value-engineers the blight out so we can get a sweet classic glass tower.

On one level you'd better get used to it, or at the very least the idea of skyscrapers trying to incorporate more vertical landscaping. It does have it's minor ecological benefits but it also can be done in a way that provides nice spaces for the folks within, and that perspective often gets overlooked by people viewing the buildings from outside. That being said I doubt you'd get a tree to grow fully to the ceiling as shown, if for no other reason than the bothersome maintenance that would cause.

I prefer this approach than some of the others we've seen where people are attempting to hide the structure behind a wall of greenery that no one will end up properly cultivating, anyway. But that's just me.
