They need a huge metropolis and sizeable number of adventure-seekers ( like the Australians ) .... currently only Cairo sounds feasible.

there no relation between these two things

MH was under reviewed because of their services was much decrease, especially in economy class; ignorance crew, bad food, dull IFE etc etc

Sorry OOT, beside MH, I think CX is also need to be reviewed as well

And TG deserve to be named 5 stars Airlines

OOT off

I think CX is still ahead of TG, TG doesn't even have PTVs in every seat on some planes, however CX does. CX's F and J class is way ahead of TG, but Y can be a let down, however a new Y is gonna be introduced soon!!!

I think CX's service has degraded within the past decade, but they are still ahead of the competition nonetheless (or more like, average general quality of service across all airlines has gone down a lot more).

MAS, Qantas set to forge closer ties
Presenna Nambiar and Goh Thean Eu Published: 2011/11/30
http://www.btimes.com.my/Current_New...cle/index_html

Malaysia Airlines and Qantas Airways Ltd are holding talks on closer partnership in the run-up to the national carrier joining the One World Alliance, sources said yesterday.

“Talks are ongoing regarding a more comprehensive
relationship with the airline (Qantas). The plan is to have something in place before the One World programme kicks in,” an industry source told Business Times.

Signed in June, the integration of MAS into the alliance is expected to take 18 months.

It is understood that the initiative is part of a wider plan to revive the fortunes of the national carrier.

For the nine months ended Aug 30, 2011, MAS suffered a pre-tax loss of RM1.2 billion against a pre-tax profit of RM23.73 million in the same period a year ago.

The market has been abuzz with the posibility of a MAS-Qantas tie-up after the The Australian Financial Review reported on Monday that the two carriers were working on a letter of intent for a new partnership.

The partnership may include a code-sharing alliance that is expected to allow joint marketing, scheduling and pricing.
Jupiter Securities head of research Pong Teng Siew said such a move was a step in the right directon.

“Fleet expansion is no longer a favourable B4move and you can see airlines doing more code-sharing, strategic partnerships and other kind of arrangements to improve their yields without too much risk,” said Pong.

The national carrier remains tight-lipped on the plan, neither deny nor confirm the report.

“We wish to clarify that at Malaysia Airlines, we will assess all proposals for strategic partnerships as part of our plans,” the airline said in a statement.

News of a potential partnership comes as no surprise, considering Qantas chief executive officer Alan Joyce’s statement in June that stated the airline would be looking at some options with MAS.

Prior to the announcement of MAS joining One World, for example, there had been talk of a pairing greater than code-sharing between the national carrier and long-time partner KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines.

However, that fell through following the announcement.
Currently, MAS has no such “special” arrangement with any other airline.

While there is no “one size fits all” joint venture
agreement for airlines, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia’s announcement in June was an example of a wide-ranging partnership between two airlines.

The agreement between those two included codeshare on each other’s international and domestic flights; reciprocal frequent flyer programme benefits and lounge access; coordinated
schedules between Singapore and Australia and beyond to provide seamless connections; and joint sales, marketing and distribution activities.

I don't think the crew is one of the problems... from the detailed ratings..MH is more having problems with their on board product and the age of aircraft in fleet instead of their cabin staff service which rated all in the range of 4-5 star which is quite good.

That's why they are replacing their aging aircrafts progressively now with new B737-800, A330 & A380 & new product on board !! that could be the reason is under review by Skytrax

EK b77w y class is 10 seats abreast...just imagine.plus they put so many seats on cabin make it earth hell if flying long haul.their product no doubt very good (entertainment, food),but cabin crew still so-so....

but premium class like business, first and cabin are very good indeed.

CX and SQ should be put under review as well.despite their newer aircraft, their y product are not good also.u can see all customer bad review in skytrax,CX defenitely about their fixed shell y seat,SQ j seat which is neither good when seat nor good when sleep...
