Not too long ago, the Hard Rock Cafe that I have shown that in NYC had closed recently, but it will be moving to a new location in the same neighborhood in Times Sq.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Minneapolis is across the street from First Avenue which is the city's most storied underground nightclub. First Avenue is where Prince first made a name for himself (Purple Rain was filmed there), and where the Minneapolis punk scene happened.

Whenever I see them across from each other I can't help but think "there is the real thing and then there is the bullshit".

I think the one in SkyDome/Rogers Centre is closed. The HRC site still has it listed, but not the Rogers Centre website!

I think it's fair to say the crest of the wave has passed.

Some people are too cool for Hard Rock...but the other 90% of the population isn't. The restaurants that have closed did so for a reason unrelated to the success of the company, just like any other chain. This a lively, positive thread, so why don't you take your sunshine elsewhere...

The entire HRC empire was bought by the Seminole Indians in Florida.
Maybe they don't like Canadians

Back in march 2005 I posted about collecting HR Pins....I have just returned from another trip so here are some more to add to my collection...I feel frustrated to find out I missed a few when I heard there was a Hard Rock Cafe in Louisville Kentucky....and Baltimore.....I now have 2 New York Pins but the first was from the old cafe back in 2000..and this one from the Times Sq. location...For those not interested in Pin Collecting I know this must be a rivetting post!!! haaa

Indianapolis has a hard rock cafe in a historic downtown building. Its the building on the left, on the corner.
