Shanghai - The Bund from Pudong

From this angle, Puxi looks quite serene!

I sometime find the Bund waterfront more interesting to look at than Pudong's

I recommend taking the cruise since the Pudong waterfront promenade is still quite a distance away. The river is quite wide.

We were about to take the cruise but I decided just go to places where you can take some nice pics and not spend too much yuan

The cheapest cruise starts at 35 yuan - definitely not an expensive treat for a city like Shanghai.

There're much better places with a view, tranquility, and ambiance.

Victoria Park used to be nice - now it's infested with some rather nasty stuff, although the green areas are still nice for a walk.

Quarry Park is another good one; views not as nice as TST Harbour of course, but far, far, far less tourists.

I also like a walk in Hong Kong Park.
