I am sorry my friend, if you think massive skyline is better than quality and well organized skylines. I forgot to mentioned in the previous post. Actually Tokyo should be 3rd and Singapore is 4th. I just checked this tallest buildings in Thailand website. Most of it's buildings are very ugly and poorly built with cheap materials. If those buildings were in Paris, Frankfurt or London, they would be demolished straight away. And again, for your problem with Paris and London, i think some people rate these two cities among world's top 20 skylines because of things like their popularity, capitals cities of the world, richest cities in the world, Alpha world cities etc rather than the genuine skylines. I do not have any problem with that as well, because La Defense is very beautiful, so is Frankurt, Toronto and San Francisco skyline may not be as massive as Bangkok, but they are way more beautiful, wonderful, very organized, well planned and better, also the quality of buildings in London. Apart from this skyline issue, i would defo pick Bangkok as one of my most favourites cities in the whole Asia. Please lets stop this joke saying that Bangkok skyline is far better than Tokyo.

Well that's your opinion. You like well planned iconic skyline and some people like scattered but huge skyline.
So if he put Bangkok (with ugly building and built with cheap materials as you call it) higher than Tokyo, then that's his preference.
Eventhough I like iconic skyline, I also like scattered skylines, so that I won't get bored by looking at the same skyline again & again.

SO143, you are a joke. You think that Shanghai has terrible skyscrapers as well and it is all quantity, so saying Bangkok has terrible buildings should be taken as a compliment, and please don't mention Paris, London or Frankfurt, they are top 60 on my list, at best. Bangkok has great quality on their skyscrapers. Why are Londons few highrises so much better in your meaning? They are made by concrete and glass, same as Bangkok, which has 2000 more of them. I would say that Bangkok has better quality in their skyscrapers, european cities are 20 years behind. They should probably stick to their lowrises and church structures just kidding.

I don't think Bangkok has particularly good skyscrapers (with a few exceptions) - however, they fit into the ensemble brilliantly and the overall mass creates a fantastic skyline which, for me, is better than any in Europe (perhaps bar Moscow).

Isn't it "nice" to appeal to wealth when you discuss Skyline - clear indication that you have nothing else to say to "win" an argument. Or to bring the whole "quality" thing up! Then redefine "quality" as many times as needed to keep staying ahead... Keep feeding yourself, and like minded, fairytales of own superiority till you find yourself in the gutter so deep, you couldn't even see stars from there.

Yeah, it was a bit odd to mention that asian cities cannot compare too "rich" european cities from street level. Well so be it, but "rich" european cities cannot compare to "developing" asian cities when it comes to skyscrapers, airports, shopping malls, hotels, food chain variety (why on earth I would mention that ) etc , fair enough.

I live in a "rich" city named Stockholm but prefer "developing" Bangkok a lot more. Bangkok is like a bladerunner city, you never get bored and heck, if a robot serve you food in a restaurant, it must be cool right?

well, you went from comparing skyline to wealth and street scenes from rich countries in europe , so I don't think a picture of a robot restaurant would be that harmful .
