The city's skyline is scattered but organized which is a good thing You have your nice clusters in both Makati and Ortigas and also the future CBDs. It's like Manhattan where you have your clusters at either lower or midtown.

Hopefully, the Robinsons development along Pioneer and the Greenfield redevelopment would help fill in those gaps.

I'll just point out some points...how redundant

Hong Kong
- Spectacular HK Island skyline, Kowloon developing

Tokyo
- Notable skyline, lacks the HK factor

Seoul
- Dense yet does not stand out

Beijing
- getting there, still needs better buildings to replace the commie blocks

Shanghai
- a competition to Hong Kong in the near future

Kuala Lumpur
- dramatic backdrop, beautiful skyscrapers, but lacks the density

Singapore
- beautiful skyline, lacks height though

How funny. Just because there was a whole MM page, a few more skylines started to popup.

I'll add some.

True about Seoul's skyline. But at least it's better than Taipei's

Seoul is a much bigger city, so it's understandable its skyline would be spread out a lot more.

Seoul is as huge as Shanghai but Shanghai's skyline looks more organized.

Not really. Shanghai's skyline is quite dispersed between Pudong and Puxi. There are buildings everywhere, and Shanghai is also a very big city. Pudong may seem a bit more organized, but there are still a lot more skyscrapers all over the map in Puxi. You really have to be there to sense it all.

True that Puxi and it's surrounding have a strong skyscraper concentration. But Pudong is kinda defining Shanghai's CBD and the tallest skyscrapers are located there. It's becoming sort of downtown Shanghai.

Puxi has always been Shanghai's traditional core. While there has been a lot of skyscraper activity in Pudong over the past decade, the 'downtown' has not shifted across the river yet. Pudong can't compete with Puxi in bustling activity. Like many Chinese cities, the planners have decided to find an empty plot of land to continue building skyscrapers rather than razing their old historic cores.

Isn't that the reason why Shanghai is slowly sinking because of the amount of new scrapers being built?
