Errh, these two pictures disappoint me so much, I did not reallize that the skyline of Singapore is so small from these views, though it looks not very far from the centre part

Well, these pics don't show all of Singapore's skyline..
This one for example is taken from the same vantage point and also includes a more eastern (here: left) located part of the skyline:

I really like Chongqing's skyline a lot. Its location makes for a really good skyline. Even if I hate the Liberty Place copy, the rest of the skyline looks really impressive! It's a lot like why Pittsburgh's skyline is often highly rated, due to its terrain and location

It's surprisingly difficult to find good photos of the skyline. Just to illustrate the comparison to Pittsburgh, as they both got that triangle with the rivers going for them:

Here's a nice photo of Chongqing though

it looks ridiculously massive by the european standard. the size is like about 5 biggest european skylines combined together

Because it is ugly. Hong Kong is pretty ugly too (except the supertall towers). That's why everyone loves the skyline shots taken at night.

EDIT: All big cites with their fugly residential towers share the same problem...
