Good. After your trip, you should look back at your comments about Shanghai in relation to other cities and find some stark contrasts between perception and reality.

As for Manila, It would be wack if Ortigas' skyline is dominated by an abandoned residential tower.

KL have to be dense wannabes to reduce the cut down of the rainforest. One of the another reason is KL is located in the middle of the valleys. The city can't spread to large areas.

Shanghai is bigger than HK and has more land for developments. Plus they're building skyscrapers taller than HK's tallest.

But the city lack the natural features that HK has. HK's skyline is well presented especially HK Island. You can shoot a nice panorama from the promenade in Tsim Sha Tsui or view it from The Peak. It's breathtaking especially with the lighting effects and of course The Symphoney of Lights.

Shanghai on the other hand also has some nice lighting effects in it's buildings especially Pudong. Plus you can say the skyline is dense on both sides of the river.

Shanghai's skyline is spread out, so the effect is not as dramatic as Hong Kong. There are a lot of open areas between their big skyscrapers that need to be filled in (Puxi). Even Pudong has a lot of empty plots next to Jin Mao and those big ones by the Huangpu River.

The best place to shoot a panorama of Hong Kong's skyline is actually further north and not Tsim Sha Tsui. Some really great photos were taken from Lion Rock / Fei Ngo Shan, where the entire Island and Kowloon skylines can be seen.
