One thing, they'll have a tall skyline as long as their economy is stable.

It is really nice 3D render and all of future Dubai skyline, but I was talking about density! Dubai skyline pretty much made up of skyscrapers that are "LINING UP" side by side along the boluvard which created this over stretch skyline yet, if you look at its CBD or anywhere, it simpily missing overall density that HK possess and not to mention NYC and Chicago...these cities has the best skyline with not just HEIGHT,but also DENSITY, ARCHITECTURE AND QUANTITY. So for best asian skyline now and next 10 years or so HK is steadily holding the crown without any tout....don't you agree?

We will see Dubai skyline in next 10 years to see if it even be consider on the league of Shanghai!, but still gotta hold your horses on HK...

BTW, why don't you show us real dubai skyline pix that are even closely match that 3D rendering? We are looking for current best asian skyline, not next 10 years, 50 years or 100 years, unless you are insecure...

Here's an image of one of HK's new towns taken from Butterfly Hill. This actually used to be a rural area until residential developments.

With Shenzhen on the background

Mumbai's skyline reminds me of Havana

Anyway, this is the Western District of HK Island. This district includes Sai Ying Pun and Kennedy Town.

How many hi-rises do you see?

90% of all the skyscrapers you can see in this pic are not older than 2 years.

Yeah it kinda does. I thought Mumbai was more dense than that though.

I see A LOT of buildings. I hardly count in Algebra class, what makes you think I'll count here?

There are alot of cities that are as dense as HK such as Shanghai or Guangzhou. Even Seoul can show some high-rise density.

As for Dubai, it's high-rises are concentrated in either the CBDs and new developments. The rest of the city is either low-rise or medium rise. Kinda reminds me of a mid-size US city.
