Wow, for some reason I really like that picture. It has a somewhat dreamy look. The city looks very futuristic and clean.

I don't understand why Singapore is on the list. Hongkong yes, being even so small, it is impressive. But Singapore is tiny in terms of skyline. It is like Frankfurt in Germany, just a handful of highrises...

For me, nothing beats HK, Shanghai (this one is probably the ultimate), Tokyo, Seoul and some others.

Hong Kong has the largest skyline in the world ( in terms of highrises's number) , the city itself is not extensive but it's skyline is just marvelously big !

I guess if we look at Puxi in Shanghai, we will see the stunning high-rise whole extending for up to 15 km long.

Singapore does have good number of high-rises around the island. Plus it's tallest buildings are close to supertall status.

Compared to Frankfurt, Singapore definitely has more!

Singapore though a small city state and has no natural resources but it can be easily get into top 10 even top 5 in the world. Singapore ranked 11 in world in term of most skyscraper above 100m. The skyscrapers are scattered all over around the tiny island and where ever u go u will see skyscraper. in term of most highrise singapore is fourth

11th in term of 100m & above: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...st_skyscrapers
4th rank in term of HR: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...rise_buildings

Since i am replying, i might as well share some pic i took yesterday

Singapore has a quite more impressive skyline than Frankfurt , but not sure it could compete with Hk's , NYC's or even Tokyo !

this is Asian Best, Nyc or Frankfurt cant be used for comparison. do compare with other Asian cities will be more appropriate.

Sg may not be able to compete with HK or Shanghai cos Singapore dont have supertalls, not because singapore cant afford to but due to height restriction of 300m thanks to a military airbase nearby CBD. However Singapore has 100+ buildings above 150m and most of them are new modern buildings.

Sg has a very good skyline, well planned city state, clean, green and good public infrastructure (maybe world best).
