this is Bonifacio (catching up really quick to Makati )

also, Fort Bonifacio is very modern, being the youngest CBD.. it is like Singapore street wise (or better?? debatable).
This is my favorite CBD in the Philippines.
It is a matter of when as it will take decades for BGC to surpass Makati as the main CBD, even if the stock exchange moves there.

Much of the offices in BGC are cater to The BPO industry though some foreign multinational corporations have recently moved their offices there.

But the HQ and main offices of much of the major local corporations and financial institutions are still in Makati and have no plans of relocating.

It's unique.

there are pros and cons with all skylines. You cannot please everyone's criteria.
Manila, with its multiple CBD is unique in its own way, and I like it.

btw - that first Singapore pic isn't seamless/continuous as well..
the second 1 is.. but isn't as pretty as the Marina Bay vantage point.
Of course it would be divided as there is a golf course and wealthy residential areas in between.

And I doubt the residents of Forbes Park, Dasmariņas and Forbes Park will give up their homes for additional commercial development.

Yes KL and jkt catching up fast. They might overtake sg soon. However this year sg experiencing construction rapid expansion in financial cbd after halt in 2011.
Doesn't matter. Actually many of us Manileņos prefer having several clusters than one gigantic skyline. Makes it more organized.

The newly completed Grand Hyatt / Metrobank Centre is already an iconic structure and has been topped out as the tallest in the metro.

Actually Hong Kong will probably merge with Shenzhen in the future to create a super mega skyline. You can see Ping'an from Hong Kong's Airport. I wonder if you can see Victoria Harbour from Ping an when it is completed.

With the development of Hung Shui Kiu and Kwu Tung the area would look a lot more contiguous.

BBK is the largest but also one of the ugliest the city is very lively and some buildings are pretty nice but the skyline is too chaotic

In fairness, much of BKK's skyline is concentrated in the city core while its suburbs is mostly low-rise.

When one talks about a skyline in terms of being the best several aspects start to come into mind. I can see it is quite common to regard a number of high buildings, the height itself and then a concetration of them or even a density, but cities are not scaleless and there must be a breaking point to this matter as well. Of course I am not going to send you back to the rural areas ; ) just make a note that an urban tissue is far more complex thing and aspects like a composition, a diversity or a good distribution of a potential are also decisive.
