Doesn't look like it.

Anyway, even if Dubai has The Burj, I still think HK has the best Asian skyline.

Yeah, I don't see any part of Chicago in Manila. Exept the river

True, HK can be seen as the best skyline in Asia since it's very well organized even though they haven't got the same chances Dubai had with it's organizing. Honestly, I don't see Dubai as a very attractive skyline since it's mostly supertall and no "wide" buildings (I haven't seen these wide buildings there at least). Maybe when those construction cranes come down, I might change my mind.

It's more geographical settings. HK's skyline looks beautiful when viewed either from the peaks or the sea. Especially at night with all those lighting effects.

Dubai also has a nice skyline but it doesn't have the geographical features that HK has. Rio has similar geographical features as HK. Though it doesn't have supertalls, the view is still nice to look at.

Actually, the view from Victoria Peak at night isn't so special, since the lighting effects are mostly on the harbour-facing side of the skyscrapers, not the hill-facing sides.

Doesn't matter. The view from The Peak is still breathtaking especially to those who love HK's skyline

The scene changes significantly on the other side of the harbour :

Tsim Sha Tsui

You can barely see the Symphony of Lights from the Peak besides a few spotlights peering upwards from skyscraper tops. The fireworks are rare to spot anyway on both sides of the harbour.

Yes it's only HK but I heard Singapore might do a similar lightshow.
