Oh well, Manila is STILL underrated (seriously underrated).. But it has the density already! When it has its supertalls, you'd HAVE to reasses where you place it in your lists!

btw Urumqi's skyline looks nice!

Nice and simple, though it was a bit of a hazy day:

That has always been on the masterplan, but some of the banks are now back in the Bund, taking back their old premises.

So they're bringing back the old days when the Bund was still the city's main business district. The only thing is, Pudong with its highrise buildings can have more office space.

The move back to the Bund is symbolic, as many banks vacated Shanghai following unrest in the civil war and the Japanese invasion. Sure, Pudong has more office space, but those who understand Shanghai's history will agree that the Bund location is all about prestige and signifies Shanghai's fall and rebirth.

Bangkok looks less Japanese cityscape wise. Korean, maybe but BKK doesn' t have a large scale of mid to high-rise housing that Seoul has.

I agree with The Bund's symbolism. But I think those who will have their offices in the Bund will be banks like BoC or HSBC.

Other than offices, some of the city's local hotels have their location in The Bund like Peace Hotel

yeah its really alot more vertical than any japanese city and not as as dense or as high rise-y as Korean ones but somewhere in between (although actually on the ground they're quite different) but you can see my point though?

Actually, many of the city's new 5* hotels are popping around the peripherals of the Bund, such as the Westin Bund Center, Le Royal Meridien, and the Marriott at Tomorrow Square. Meanwhile, the Peace Hotel (made up of 2 buildings) remains a historic beacon. The view is quite nice from its rooftop garden.

Agreed. I don't think Bangkok looks like Seoul or Tokyo at all. The cityscapes are very different.
