It is.

About the trains, you haven't seen the new ones that they bought. They're really nice.

Cheers!

I see people critisizing santiago's metro, you guys really have to be there to see it, its very clean, practical, secure, modern, and uptodate. compareble to a lot of metro systems in europe and U.S. some stations have WI-fi, library, there is art in most in most stations. its in my opinion an amazing metro system BEST in Latin America, and very close to any metro system in the world. GOOD JOB SANTIAGO

I love the Santiago metro system. It is clean, fast and efficient and safe. I had no problems taking the trains late at night or at any time of day. The trains are busy at all times; Line 1 is the busiest with trains running, it seems, in all time periods every 2 minutes or so.

The new trains are beautiful, full-length walk through. Most of the network is rubber tyre metro - Montreal style - with at least one line being conventional rail.
